Printing & Publishing

There is much written and available on the web to persuade you to part with your hard earned money when you have a book to publish.

Sometimes called Vanity Publishing or Self Publishing, many are schemes to get you to sign away your rights. In return you get expensive and often useless marketing plans and unnecessary up-front setup costs that do little for you.

Printmatrix is an experienced and established printing company and we do it differently.

We will print your book for an agreed cost, we will give help and advice when needed. The book and all designs are yours when payment is made and you are not under any contract that ties you down for the future.

 

 

 

 

We print and bind books, that is what we are good at.

We also print leaflets, advertising cards, posters, etc. in other words everything you might need to advertise your book. However we don't sell web sites, there are cheap and easy ways to set up a basic website elsewhere on the web.

We believe you can do the marketing of your own book, in fact, you are probably the only one who will put the effort into doing just that. There is plenty of help and advice out there if you need someone to give support. A book worth reading is the Writers' and Artists' Yearbook. Please ask us if you need further assistance and ideas.

If you don't want to sell your books and only want a few copies of your book for family and friends then there is no need to pay any more than is necessary. You will still get a top quality book, but without the extra costs.

So come to Printmatrix to print and supply your books, we can produce from one copy although we would rather you ordered a minimum of 20 books at a time. You can have as many copies as you want after that.

Price will depend on what you supply us with. With almost everyone having access to a computer we would expect a file but we can accept hard copy or typewritten pages. You can include pictures and drawing if you wish but you must take care to ensure you hold the copyright or have permission to reproduce them.

We can supply you back books bound in a number of different ways, the usual is perfect bound (also called a paper back), but we also supply case bound or wire bound books.
